We’re proud to announce that Modern Muscle Car Factory and its founder Scott Klepinger were recently featured by Southwestern Michigan College (SMC) in a campus news article highlighting regional success in the automotive industry.

During SMC’s Automotive Day event in Dowagiac, more than 225 high-school students from across Michiana gathered to explore future careers in automotive technology. Among the featured stories was that of Scott Klepinger, a lifelong car enthusiast who transformed his passion into a thriving performance and restoration business.

Scott began his journey at the Elkhart Career Center, where he developed his foundational skills before working at several dealerships. In 1995, he founded Modern Muscle Car Factory (MMCF) in Elkhart, Indiana—a shop specializing in modernizing classic cars with engine and transmission swaps, modern suspension and braking systems, and custom performance upgrades.

At Automotive Day, Scott’s success story served as inspiration for students considering paths in automotive design, engineering, and fabrication. His dedication to craftsmanship and innovation shows what’s possible when hard work meets passion.

Scott’s character is only exceeded by his great workmanship. He did a job on my 1969 Camaro SS 396/375 L78.
